We just got a wonderful news from Matt from the release site!
The team who is following the 5 chimps who are still at the released site saw today Lottie, released in June 2008, with a new born baby! They don’t know yet if it is a female or a male, but the baby is doing well, he is suckling and Lottie is fine as well! The baby is about 2 days old.
We think that Robert is the father as a chimpanzee’s gestation is about 8/8.5 months, and at this time Lottie was with Robert, Nanou and Mama.
We are all extremly happy for this group of released chimps!!!

Amazing news!
Hopefully you can get a photo soon. Can’t wait to find out if its male or female, but more importantly I just hope he/she is healthy.

le 16/11 à 17h sur facebbok, tout le monde propage la nouvelle : Fatim afini de souffrir ce matin, je cimprend votre tristesse à tous , car je sais a quel point chaque chimp est precieux pour vous…..Fatim a donné le meilleur d’elle meme , elle a lutté tant qu’elle a pu…. si vous avez du abreger ses souffrances, c’était la seule solution pour qu’elle parte enfin en paix tranquillement.
Je pense à vous tous qui étes sur place et qui avez vécu ce dur moment et je suis de tout coeur avec ceux qui connaissait bien Fatim et qui l’aimait.
